Perhaps the most humbling response from American
servicemen overseas came in the form of an American Flag
sent by Sgt. Rodney Anderson of the New Hampshire Army
National Guard. “I personally purchased, protected and flew
with this flag. It accompanied me on a medivac mission to
transport one of America’s youth and a hero to a care facility.
It is my distinct honor as a soldier and an American to present
this small token of appreciation,” Anderson wrote.
The flag hangs seven days a week at the St. Lucie Café.
