Focus emphasizes technology to decrease
fuel consumption, increase speed
The Treasure Coast will soon be home to production of a
48-foot boat unlike anything the world has seen — a smart
boat that has a 30 percent faster cruising speed and uses
30 percent less fuel.
By the end of the year, Outlier Yachts hopes to begin building four
configurations with the same carbon fiber hull and two 557-horsepower
outboard SevenMarine engines made by General Motors. This
frees up the engine room space for more luxurious accommodations.
The company boasts a hull design that “allows the Outlier to slip quietly
