Incubator helps hatch

inventors’ dreams of success
Program nutures budding entrepreneurs
That idea for an invention to make you rich could
become reality with a little help from the Virtual
Incubator at Indian River State College.
From the hatchery stage when inventors develop
a business plan to the Shark Tank scenario where they have
10 minutes to make the pitch to a room full of people with
money to spend, the year-old program has several projects in
various stages of production and ready for venture capital.
The inventors use the resources at the Brown Center for Innovation
and Entrepreneurship on the Fort Pierce campus while
students gain experience providing photography, animation
and brochures to the incubator members.
“This is an entrepreneurial echo system and we have all the
pieces to get people into collaboration,” says Tom Kindred Jr.,
incubator coordinator. “We are lucky to have this incubator
on the Research Coast.”
