Duffers play on the Riomar Golf Course, which was surrounded by elegant homes. Plans for a resort in the
Riomar area began as early as 1916 and development began in Riomar in the 1920s.

The members of the Vero Beach Yacht Club (VBYC)
are proud to have been a part of this special city for 92
years. We look forward to many more.
Notable on our long path together, Vero Beach Yacht
Club operated the Vero Beach City Marina from 1941
to 1970—nearly 30 years. We host the annual Blessing of
the Fleet, which this year will celebrate Vero Beach's 100
years (see our website for participation). Every year VBYC
donates hundreds of stuffed animals to the hospital and the
Sheriff’s Office. You can also find us at the Taste of Vero,
Vero's Top Chef and the biannual boat shows. We take pride
in our role as custodians of spoil island IR-25 and our
participation with Habitat for Humanity. We look forward
to continuing to be a vital part of this dynamic community.
