Janie Gould (editor and
lead writer) is a longtime
Indian River Magazine
writer and creator and
host of the WQCS radio
show Floridays. A lifelong
resident of Vero Beach,
she is past president of the Indian River
County Historical Society and a former
director of the Florida Historical Society
and the Heritage Center of Vero Beach.
She has published two illustrated volumes
of Florida stories as well as a cookbook.
Rody Johnson (writer) was
raised in Vero Beach. He
was with the Harris Corp. in
Melbourne and later publisher
of three books relating to
Vero Beach history: Different Battles, Dodgertown
Milt Thomas (writer) is
editor of InsideVero.com,
past editor of the Treasure
Coast Business Journal and
past director of economic
Development at the Indian
River County Chamber of
Commerce. He is a graduate of Vero Beach
High School and Florida State University
and has published 20 books.
Willi Miller (writer) moved
to Vero Beach in 1996 and
began producing Arts
Spotlight for WQCS a year
later. Besides writing for
Indian River Magazine, she
is also a columnist for the
Press Journal and host of the Cultural Connection
Kerry Firth (writer) is a native
in Vero Beach for nearly 40
years. She is the founder
and former publisher of a
local tourism guide, who
recently became semiretired
of freelance writing for a variety of local
publications.
Pamela J. Cooper (history consultant)
retired in 2016 after 30 years as supervisor
of the Archive Center (Florida/local history)

of the Vero/Sebastian
Sun. He is the author
and An Ice Age Mystery.
on WAXE 1370 AM and 107.9 FM.
Floridian who has lived
so she could enjoy the freedom
& Genealogy Department
for the Indian River County
Main Library. A highly regarded
speaker at national
and local events, she has
served on historical and
genealogical boards and
has written more than 150 Indian River
County historical articles.
Gregory Enns (publisher
and writer) spent 30 years
working as a reporter
and editor at newspapers
in Florida and Alabama
before returning to the
Treasure Coast in 2006
to start Indian River Magazine. A fifthgeneration
Floridian and third-generation
Treasure Coast native, he is chairman of
the annual Treasure Coast History Festival
and past president of the Treasure Coast
Opera Society.
Allen Osteen (associate
publisher) is a Treasure
Coast native and longtime
Vero Beach resident.
Besides his involvement
with Indian River Magazine,
he is also co-owner of
East Coast Lumber & Supply Co. In 2018,
the Indian River State College Foundation
named him Entrepreneur of the Year.
Gaettane A. Paul (copy
editor) was born in Stamford,
Conn., and grew up
on the Treasure Coast. She
has an English literature
degree from Palm Beach
Atlantic University.
Christina Tascon (photographer)
has lived in
Vero Beach since 1975 and
has worked as a freelance
writer, graphic artist and
photographer. A longtime
Indian River Magazine writer
and photographer, she is a former president
of the Oceanside Business Association
and served on the Indian River Chamber of
Commerce’s Tourism Committee.
Jim Wilson (consulting photographer) was
born and raised in downtown Vero Beach.
He is a former member of the Indian River
County Historical Society advisory board

and a member of the Vero
Beach Centennial photography
press team. He is
moderator of the Facebook
group, Growing Up in Vero
Beach, which has nearly
10,000 members.
Phil Reid (photographer)
is a professional photographer
who lives and works
in Vero Beach. He is on the
leadership team of the Vero
Beach Cultural Arts Village
and is a past president of
the Vero Beach Dog Park board of directors.
John Biondo (cover
photo) is a Marine Corps
veteran and photographer
for Indian River Magazine
and other publications. He
is a resident of Vero Beach.
Beverly Paris (calendar) is
co-owner of Paris Productions
with her husband,
Marty. She is an awardwinning
publicist known for
her work on campaigns for
various nonprofits. She is a
member of the Vero Beach Centennial Committee
and with her husband is co-producer
of the music series LIVE! from Vero Beach.
Judith Collins (copy editor)
spent a 40-year career
as reporter and editor at
newspapers in Florida, Virginia
and New York. She is
the former associate editor
of Indian River Magazine.
Michelle Moore Burney
(design editor) has worked
as Indian River Magazine’s
design editor for more
than a decade. A native of
the Treasure Coast, she is a
graduate of the University
of Central Florida.
Pattie Durham (copy editor)
has worked in journalism
and education on the
Treasure Coast for more
than four decades. She is
a longtime copy editor for
