benefit the Boy’s & Girls Club of
Indian River and Little Birthday
Angels. Free centennial wine
glass with admission.
• Beachside Bonfire Fest –
Individual and theme-oriented
bonfires will light up the beach
in front of Waldo’s, Costa
d’Este, Mulligans and the Vero
Beach Hotel & Spa. Each venue
will provide its own themed
music, entertainment, raffles,
food and beverages. There will
be trolley rides from Riverside
Park to the event locations.
Bonfire themes are: Southern
BBQ at Waldo’s; Latin Fiesta at
Costa d Este; Hawaiian Luau at
Mulligans; and Beach Blanket
Bingo at Vero Beach Hotel &
Spa. 6-10 p.m.

known as the Vero Beach Boat
Parade, this popular event
returns in recognition of the
city centennial with a myriad
of highly decorated boats
showcased along the Indian
River. Event will be emceed by
Bill Moody and Ms. Centennial
Anna Valencia Tillery at Royal
Palm Pointe. 6 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 30 and
Monday, Dec. 31
• “Nutcracker on the Indian
River” – For the second year,
Ballet Vero Beach, the only
professional ballet company
between Palm Beach and
Orlando, performs at the Vero
Beach High School Performing
Arts Center. The libretto
and classical score retain all
the whimsy and magic of the
original ballet, but the action
has been moved to 1919, the
year Vero Beach was founded.
From land crabs to manatees
and river otters to bougainvillea,
the ballet combines the
magic of “The Nutcracker” and
the holiday season to entertain
