Chuck’s Seafood
in Fort Pierce
is legendary,
an institution
among restaurants in that
city, a restaurant almost
everyone has been to
since it opened 53 years
ago in 1961. And for its
good food, good view and
happy diners it wins the
category of Best Seafood Restaurant on the
Treasure Coast 2015. Chuck’s on Seaway Drive, almost
at the foot of South Bridge, has withstood hurricanes
and time and continues to serve its many seafood
dishes to crowds of residents and visitors. The Old
Florida style restaurant was updated after the 2004
hurricanes took out the dining room on the water, but
it is still charming and attractive. It sits right on Fort
Pierce Inlet offering a great view of the water during
dinner. The restaurant offers a large selection of fish
along with oysters, clams and shrimp in a variety of
dishes but also takes care of the nonseafood lover
with chicken, steak and prime rib. Crab selections
include soft shell of course, but also, ghost crab. The
fish of the day is likely to be a locally caught fish. The
restaurant also offers fresh Florida lobster. You’ll enjoy
the family atmosphere but there is always room for
a romantic couple, especially out on the back deck
where diners can catch a spectacular view of the
sunset. The restaurant also has a Facebook page where
diners are encouraged to post their sunset photos at
www.facebook.com/ChucksSeafood. Chuck’s, known
to generations of families on the Treasure Coast, richly
deserves the Best Seafood Restaurant award for 2015.
