“Santa really liked it at the civic center a lot last year, so I expect
that he and his elves are going find their way there again
this year,” said Port St. Lucie City Councilman Jack Kelly.
In Stuart, the Soroptomists kick off their 49th annual
holiday parade on East Ocean Boulevard at 7 p.m. at Stuart
Middle School and sweep to a grand finale with the Santa
float at Monterey Road.
In downtown Vero Beach, the magic of the holidays begins
on Nov. 27 with “Christmas in Downtown” from 3:30 to 8:30
p.m. along 14th Avenue by the Heritage House. Enjoy music,
crafts, food and beverages. You’ll find plenty of activities
for the kids, including a chance to create some crafts of their

and, of course, that highly anticipated visit from Santa.
What would a holiday season be without the excitement
and nostalgia created by holiday music?

Concert at the Vero Beach High School performing arts
center on Dec. 13 and 14, and the Vero Beach Choral Society’s

Sounds” at the civic center on Sunday, Dec. 6. Last year the
concert drew more than 1,000 people.
The Lyric Theatre in Stuart gives us the Kingston Trio

by the iconic folk singers.
There will be family fun aplenty this holiday season, from
the locally acclaimed “Girls & Boys and their Toys” at the St.
Lucie County Regional History Center (formerly the Historical
