Captain’s Corner: Derek Jeter’s Journey from Kalamazoo to the Elliott is open through December in the Baseball Gallery at the Elliott Museum in Stuart, giving visitors an up-close glimpse into the life and career of modern-day baseball legend Derek Jeter. The collection comes from Patrick Armstrong and son, Brian Armstrong, and includes signed balls, bats, jerseys, photos, helmets, an original scouting report, career stats and so much more. There’s even a full-size replica of Jeter’s locker that makes a good photo spot. ELLIOTT MUSEUM

Oxbow Eco-Center Enjoy live music, a silent auction and eco-art made from repurposing materials that otherwise would be thrown out during the St. Lucie Earth Day Festival Saturday, April 20 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Oxbow Eco-Center on St. James Drive. The Festival highlights unique eco-art, sustainable living ideas and community resources. More than 70 local organizations and businesses will be showcased and share hands-on activities throughout the gardens and trails of the preserve. Shiploads of seafood and pirate activities can be found at the Fort Pierce Seafood and Pirate Fest on Saturday, Feb. 10 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park and Riverwalk Center.
