Treasure Coast pastors share Easter messages

During one of the most difficult times globally or nationally in decades, Treasure Coast pastors share inspirational messages of hope on Easter Sunday.

This year, even though we are not able to worship in person, Christ is risen! Just as Satan, a stone, and some guards could not stop Jesus from rising from the grave, empty pews can't stop Christians from celebrating our Savior. The same Jesus who conquered sin and defeated death is also living and with us, even in the midst of Covid-19. We hope that you will join us to celebrate the Savior together! — The Rev. Chris Kollman, paster of Lutheran Church of the Redeemer in Vero Beach

In this time of fear and uncertainty, there is a rock on which we can ground our lives, an anchor for our souls. His name is Jesus. He invites all who are weary and heavily burdened to come to him and find rest. Join us or any church that is grounded in the Word of God to hear about this Risen Savior who offers life to all who would come to him. — The Rev. Jeremy D. Rebman, senior pastor, First United Methodist Church in Vero Beach

Jesus rose from the grave on the first Easter and he is still alive today. Don't fear. Know that he is with us and will never leave us. Over this Passover season we are believing that God will move powerfully and bring deliverance and healing to our city, state, and nation. — Alex Pappas of Oceans United Christian Centre in Vero Beach

St. Helen Catholic Church wishes everyone a Happy and Holy Easter. May God bless you and your family. — The Very Rev. Kevin C. Nelson, V.F., pastor of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach

We invite members of our community to join us online for the celebration of the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. — The Rev. Chris Rodriguez, Trinity Episcopal Church in Vero Beach

Jesus is alive and comes to us in this and in any crisis or need! Death and the grave could not hold Him. His resurrection ensures our own victory over life and death and guarantees that our sins have been forgiven and Satan defeated. By faith we can look beyond this present Pandemic and beyond the grave, because of Christ's empty grave. We can claim for ourselves and proclaim to others life eternal. ‘Thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57) — The Rev. Craig H. Bode, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fort Pierce

When Jesus paid the ultimate price on the cross to extend mercy and grace, he never intended for us to keep it to ourselves. Discover the freedom found in forgiveness and the greater story your scars can tell. The building is closed, but the Church is open. Join us as we celebrate the risen Savior. — Tim O'Carroll, Discovery Church in Fort Pierce

“Jesus said to them, Do not be afraid” (Mt. 28:10) God always sees life as beautiful. Even in sin, God sees His sons and daughters as being restored to life and freedom from sin. In death, He sees us reborn to new life with Him. When we find ourselves in isolation or desolation, He sees hearts to be revived and united with His love. Let us not be afraid, God loves our life, even when you and I are afraid to look at ourselves, God is always gazing upon us with loving eyes. Let us hear the call of Christ this Easter to come out of our tombs of fear and walk, live and serve one another as resurrected children of God. Happy Easter. — The Rev. Richard E. George II, pastor of St. Anastasia Catholic Church in Fort Pierce

No one gathered at the tomb, and yet Jesus still rose. Happy Easter and celebrate the good news with us that Jesus is alive and has victory over all things. — Mother Tracy Dugger, rector, Episcopal Church of the Nativity in Port St. Lucie

We are a family of God, people of different races and ages, brought into a relationship with God and each other by accepting God’s love and His Salvation offered through His son, Jesus Christ. Our mission is to become passionately devoted followers of Jesus Christ through worship, discipleship, ministry, evangelism and fellowship. We are seeking to grow in His likeness, learning to love one another, and desiring to share his love with those around us, so that they, too, can be part of God’s family. — Dr. Nick Manzie, senior pastor of Central Baptist Church in Port St. Lucie

In spite of the social distancing, and the fact we are physically isolated, we are still united as the body of Christ, the Church, as we enter into the holiest of weeks. So, I invite you to participate in one or all of our virtual services during this Holy Week. Invite your friends and families to be a part of this spiritual experience. Let us share in God’s story of love and forgiveness, sacrifice and salvation, death and resurrection this Easter Season, and remember that in spite of what may appear to be darkness in our lives, the light and joy of Easter will eventually prevail.

Everyone dies. Not only does death mean the end of a life, it also renders life meaningless. Our problem then is not how to be a better person. It is death. But what if someone passed through death and out the other side? Jesus did. And he tells us, “Because I live, you will live also.”

— On Easter Sunday, Pastor David will share the Christian hope of eternal life. But, not only does Jesus promise eternal life; he promises abundant life.
