Best of Port St. Lucie 2025 contest
Each year, Jim Fertitta buys 50 seats for each New York Mets spring training game at Clover Park. Fertitta, president of the New York & St. Lucie Mets Booster Club, distributes the tickets to booster club members at face value. He makes not a dime.

City of PSL temporarily halts adding fluoride to water
The City of Port St. Lucie is committed to ensuring the health and safety of its residents. As part of that commitment, the City’s Utility Systems Department has temporarily stopped adding fluoride to the water supply for its 95,000 customers.
The new Port St. Lucie hospital, Florida Coast Medical Center, is shown in this artist rendering. Located near Florida’s Turnpike, the hospital will have the latest in medical services.
