The Emerson Center’s 2027
E-Series presents 79, and Holding on Tuesday, February 23, 2027, at 7:00 p.m. An
uplifting theatrical presentation, the performance celebrates the humor,

Performed by a cast of actresses
“of a certain age,” this charming staged reading features poems,
monologues, and vignettes that reflect on family, friendship, everyday
challenges, and the joys of life’s later chapters. Filled with warmth, wit, and
heartfelt observations, the performance reminds audiences that every season of
life is a gift.
Based on the writings of author and
artist Mary Stewart Allen, 79, and Holding has delighted audiences
throughout Florida and New Hampshire with its engaging blend of humor, honesty,
and inspiration.
