Event Details
Treasure Coast Hospice will host two free “Navigating Grief through the Holidays” Meet & Greets for people grieving the death of a loved one. The events will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, in Stuart and at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 9, in Fort Pierce. The informal gatherings will introduce individuals and families to grief–support resources available throughout the Treasure Coast. Attendees will receive practical strategies for coping during the holidays, learn about Treasure Coast Hospice’s community support services and meet grief counselors in a relaxed setting.
“The holidays often intensify feelings of loss, and no one should feel they have to face that alone,” said Jacki Nardone, regional director of psychosocial and pediatric services and an LCSW-QS, ACHP-SW. “These Meet & Greets are a gentle first step. Whether someone has recently lost a loved one or has been grieving for some time, we want them to know that support is available and we are here for them.”
