event,” said Bridwell, who paints
but only as a hobby.
She remains a strong supporter of the
club and the arts in Vero Beach. “The
Vero Beach Art Club gave me an opportunity
to get involved with the community.
It was a fertile field for me.”
Jeanne Peterson and her husband,
Delbert, became members in 1994, not
long after moving to Vero Beach. Delbert,
a watercolorist, had had a career in
advertising and quickly became deeply
involved in the club’s activities. After
serving as vice president, he was asked
to be president but, according to Jeanne,
said, “I don’t want to be president but
my wife will do it.” Since becoming a
member of the club, Jeanne has served
as president, photographer and public
relations liaison.
A recent addition to the Art Club is
Christina Tascon, a computer-savvy
office manager who has taken over the
