At Impact100 Martin’s annual Grant Awards Celebration,
the women’s philanthropic organization awarded Impact
Grants of $100,000 to House of Hope and SafeSpace. Other
finalists were the Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County and
New Horizons of the Treasure Coast Inc. Impact100 Martin
creates positive, lasting change through collective giving.
Since its founding in 2017, it has awarded nearly $700,000 in
grants to area nonprofit organizations.

Mental Health Association supporters came out to Big Shots
Golf to celebrate MHA’s 63rd birthday and enjoy some friendly
golf competition. Guests enjoyed unlimited appetizers, soft
drinks, birthday cake, games and prizes. The MHA is the only
mental health care agency in the county that operates a walk-in
and counseling center where Indian River County residents
can receive an immediate mental health screening, free of
charge without an appointment. It also operates three peer-run
drop-in centers that provide a safe haven for adults with severe
and persistent mental illness, open 365 days a year.
