Description of Event: FAU Harbor Branch
Oceanographic Institute is celebrating 50 years
of Ocean Science for a Better World®. 2021
marks our 50th anniversary, and we invite you
to join us as we celebrate where we came from,
where we’ve been and where we plan to go in the
future. In 1971, Harbor Branch Oceanographic
Institute was founded by J. Seward Johnson Sr. of
the Johnson & Johnson family, in collaboration
with famed inventor Edwin A. Link. Their vision
to preserve the environment through a scientific
understanding of the ocean is how we continue
to view our research today. By celebrating
and supporting our 50th Anniversary, your
organization will become a part of the legacy that
has long informed ocean science research and
 global conservation efforts.
