Treasure Coast native stars in Kmart TV ad

Did you see this Kmart Mother’s Day commercial? One of the child stars, eight-year-old Zoe Burney, is a Treasure Coast native.

She is daughter of Fort Pierce natives Michael and Michelle Burney (Michelle is the design editor of Indian River Magazine, so excessive talent obviously runs in the family). They currently live in Los Angeles. Her grandparents are Michael and Gail Moore of Fort Pierce and Sigrid Hullet of Lakewood Park.

In the commercial, which aired nationally on television 1,400 times, moms use social media to share cute or embarrassing things their kids do. For Burney’s scene, she’s caught cutting her own red hair. Her expression when her mom takes a snapshot is incredibly cute.

The ad has had over 1.5K shares and 1.3M views on Kmart’s Facebook page and the YouTube.com version has been viewed 3,807 to date.

Burney also has a voice over for a radio commercial running in Georgia for Georgia Commute Options in which she encourages people to not ride solo.

We can’t wait to see what she does next!
