Holiday festivities missing the last few years because of the pandemic are back, and an even larger choice of holiday celebrations awaits.

This season, expect to immerse yourself in the warmth and magic of holidays along the Treasure Coast with festive events starting before Thanksgiving, and continuing for six weeks afterward. The weeks are packed with parades on land and water, trees with twinkling lights, and more shows than usual featuring memorable music, song and dance in the theaters. Two botanical gardens are creating dazzling displays to remember long after the holidays. Continue the tradition of visits to Santa and his workshops at the events you attend, and find gifts at arts and crafts markets.

Do you miss ice skating? It might be synthetic ice, but that doesn’t make it any less fun. The Festival of Trees, long a tradition at the Riverside Theatre in Vero Beach is back under a new name, and so is its ice rink. Now called WinterFest, it features a forest of custom-decorated trees that will be auctioned for the theater’s educational programs. Fragrant centerpieces and wreaths, unique and unusual gift items, live performances, Santa’s Village, and holiday decorations offer adults and children a day to remember.
