The Emerson Center welcomes Dennis Mayo, Florida Master Naturalist, for an engaging E-Series lecture, Pollinators in Florida: Nature’s Essential Workers, on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at 7:00 p.m. Mayo will explore the vital role of pollinators—from bees and butterflies to bats and birds—in maintaining Florida’s ecosystems and food supply, and share practical ways the public can help protect them.
Complementing the lecture, Art at the Emerson Gallery will feature Buzz & Flutter: Art Inspired by Pollinators, a special exhibition celebrating the creatures that make pollination possible. A reception will be held on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, from 5:30–7:00 p.m., offering guests a first look at the artwork before the main speaking event.
