MusicWorks kicks off its 13th season of concerts with a Special Engagement Show on Thurs., Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. Straight from England with fall tour dates in the U.S., and often requested by their dedicated fans, is Emerson Lake and Palmer (informally known as ELP). MusicWorks was quick to book this unique concert.

Emerson, Lake and Palmer (ELP) was an English progressive rock super-group formed in London in 1970. The band consisted of Keith Emerson (keyboards), Greg Lake (vocals, bass, guitar, producer), and Carl Palmer (drums, percussion). With nine RIAA-certified gold record albums in the US and an estimated 48 million records sold worldwide, they are one of the most popular and commercially successful progressive rock groups of the 1970s, with a musical sound that includes adaptations of classical music with jazz and symphonic rock elements, dominated by Emerson’s flamboyant use of the Hammond organ, Moog synthesizer, and piano.

Both fans and critics have been raving… Rock Cellar Magazine says, “A groundbreaking multimedia tour/experience geared around the 50th anniversary of the legendary musical trio Emerson, Lake and Palmer.” Audiences are encouraged to get their tickets early ranging from $50-$110 by visiting this convenient link: Tickets & Event Details.

For more information visit the website:  www.MusicWorksConcerts.com. This concert is a production of MusicWorks and will be held at The Emerson Center.

An Evening with Emerson, Lake and Palmer combines the video performance of the band at the famous sold-out Royal Albert Hall show from 1992, with modern technology to create the effect of reuniting the band with Keith Emerson and Greg Lake on large video screens.  Carl Palmer and his ELP Legacy band, consisting of Paul Bielatowicz on guitar and Simon Fitzpatrick on bass and chapman stick, play live on stage.  You’ll hear their unmistakable sound in songs like Lucky Man, Still You Turn Me On and Karn Evil 9 (Welcome Back my Friends to the Show that Never Ends) and more from their 50 years of collaboration. This is not a tribute, this is the real thing!

In addition to the incredible concert, Carl Palmer himself, along with his ELP Legacy Band, will be on hand for a special preshow VIP Q & A with a ticket sold for $50 separately from the concert ticket. It will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at The Emerson Center and limited to 50 fans. VIP Ticket Holders receive a Q & A with Carl and his band; one- on-one photo with Carl and his band and early access to purchase autographed merchandise. Attendees will be ticketed for the ELP Show and the show will begin at 7 p.m. Sorry, Carl will not be able to sign any autographs at this event, but you can learn more and get tickets for the intimate Q&A here!
