STATE PARKS
Did you know that St. Lucie is home
to three unique Florida state parks?
Each one is worth exploring.
1. AVALON STATE PARK
This secluded and serene beach is a part of Florida’s State Park system
and is a great beach destination for visitors looking to enjoy a day at
a natural and uncrowded beach, but with the convenience of paved
parking and showers to rinse off.
2. FORT PIERCE INLET STATE PARK /
JACK ISLAND PRESERVE PARK
This State Park is known for its plentiful amenities and consistent waves
making it a hotspot for beachgoers and surfers. Due to the jetty rocks,
both beginner and experienced surfers can hit the waves rolling in from
the Atlantic. Beachgoers enjoy an array of amenities including picnic
pavilions, showers, bathrooms, water toy rentals, hiking trails and more.
3. SAVANNAS PRESERVE STATE PARK
At the Savannas, discover the last remnant of Florida’s East Coast
Savannas. This nature paradise includes marshlands, pinelands
and swampland that is covered in a wide variety of wildlife.
Visitors love to hike, canoe and exercise at this state park in
Port St. Lucie.
