Tattoo artist now applies her skills to permanent makeup
BY PATTIE DURHAM
As a young girl growing up in New Jersey, Linda Haering Frank asked her mother for art classes; as a teenager, she painted colorful gas tanks for Harley-Davidson motorcycles; as a young mother, she practiced her art in a tattoo parlor.
Today, she applies her talent as a permanent makeup artist. She tattoos eyebrows, eyeliner and lip color for people who have suffered facial injuries, hair loss or the effects of chemotherapy. The permanent makeup is updated every 5 to 10 years, depending on the person’s lifestyle. “As things fall, I keep lifting them up,” Frank said with a laugh.
