With pride and gratitude for 18 years of service, the Board of Directors of the A.E. Backus Museum announces the retirement of Executive Director Kathleen Piowaty Fredrick at the end of September, followed by the appointment of J. Marshall Adams as the new Executive Director.

A bigger, better Backus Museum expansion honors longtime volunteer, Highwaymen

Florida Artists Hall of Fame member James F. Hutchinson will be celebrated at the Backus Museum and Gallery in Fort Pierce Feb. 22 through April 26, 2020. The exhibit will feature works from the artist’s own collection, such as this 2014 oil painting, Jacaranda Island. JAMES F. HUTCHINSON
