At Care Net Pregnancy Center of Indian River County, compassion is more than a philosophy — it is a daily practice rooted in community, care and unwavering support. For more than four decades, the nonprofit has quietly served women and men facing unplanned pregnancy decisions, offering guidance without judgment and resources without cost. Clients receive accurate information about all pregnancy options, empowering them to make informed, life-affirming decisions for their future.

Founded in 1984, Care Net IRC began as a grassroots effort led by Caroline Ginn and a coalition of local churches determined to meet a growing need for crisis pregnancy support. Today, the organization continues that mission from its Vero Beach location, providing free medical-grade pregnancy tests, limited OB ultrasounds, STI testing and a wide range of educational and emotional support services.

What sets Care Net apart is its holistic, long-term approach. Clients are not only supported through pregnancy but also during the first 1,000 days of a child’s life, a critical window for development. Through parenting classes, fatherhood coaching and one-on-one mentorship, families are equipped with practical tools and confidence to move forward, including life skills, relationship education, access to community resources and connection to a local church.

A cornerstone of the center is its nationally recognized Baby Boutique, where parents can earn essential items like diapers, clothing and cribs through participation in educational programs. The initiative blends empowerment with tangible support, reinforcing dignity at every step.

Funded entirely by donations and community partnerships, Care Net IRC reflects the spirit of Indian River County itself — generous, connected, and deeply invested in its people.
