More than 200 people attended the Wheels and Keels gala
cocktail reception and dinner held Friday evening at the
Moorings Yacht and Country Club to benefit local charities.
On Saturday, hundreds more turned out for the Antique
& Exotic Car & Boat Show on the Pete Dye Signature Golf
Course overlooking the Indian River Lagoon and to view
impressive yachts moored at the docks. Beneficiaries of this
year’s event were Youth Sailing Foundation of IRC, ARC
Oyster Mat Project, Navy Seal Trident House Charities, Vero
Beach Rowing and Lines in the Lagoon.

Molly’s House Polo Classic

The 11th annual polo classic to benefit Molly’s House
raised $100,000 for the home away from home for those dealing
with medical crises. The popular sporting event brought
internationally known players together for day of competition
and fun that included a best hat contest, a dressage presentation,
a car show and the traditional halftime champagne
divot stomp. VIP guests enjoyed a paella lunch and open bar,
while a vast number of spectators sat in chalets or tailgated
as they watched the fast-paced action up close. The funds
raised support the mission of Molly’s House to keep families
together by providing short-term, affordable accommodations
for the families of hospitalized loved ones and hospital
outpatients. The classic’s presenting sponsor was the Herold-
Cadorette family.
