Vero Beach marked the end of a year of activities
celebrating its 100-year anniversary with a parade down 14th
Avenue themed “Through the Years.” Administrators, local
organizations, schools, businesses and residents all came out
to say “happy birthday” to Vero Beach.

More than 350 local superheroes claimed a “stake” in the
lives of local youth as they relished the opportunity to dine
with Boys & Girls Club of St. Lucie County kids. Emceed by
WPBF news anchor Felicia Rodriguez, the evening featured
an inspirational speech by U.S. Olympic track-and-field
legend Jackie Joyner-Kersee.
