As a traditional artist in her early 20’s, Terry’s culinary hobby provided an outlet for her artistic
talent. She created exceptional confectionary masterpieces. If she wasn’t creating exquisitely
decorated wedding cakes for friends and family, she was sculpting whimsical, mouthwatering
candies or making meticulously detailed sugar Easter eggs with 3-D panoramas inside. One of
these Easter eggs, a gift to a family friend, is responsible for launching her jewelry career.
The friend was a jeweler who encouraged Terry to produce her designs in gold. Her
mentor set up a full complement of jeweler’s tools for Terry and arranged for her
to be the first and only student tutored by noted Russian Jeweler, Constance
Osmanski. Terry made many trips back and forth to Europe for the next
12 years, studying and perfecting her craft in London’s famed diamond
quarter, Hatton Garden.
Terry’s passion remains custom jewelry. Her exquisite designs range
from the extraordinarily graceful to the wonderfully whimsical.
That’s not all, Terry’s philanthropy is legendary. She has designed
and donated handcrafted jewelry like the 18K Spider Mum with
7 layers of French enamel and 250 diamonds as a raffle prize for
Martin Memorial’s Chrysanthemum Ball. It raised $25,000 and
there are many like this special piece that she is responsible for. She
donates to 97 local charities.
Then there is the Diamond Tea Room & Bistro located right
next door to her shop. Now, you too, can enjoy Terry’s homemade
delights in the only “Authentic English Tea Room” on the
Treasure Coast where you can have lunch or high tea. It is a place
of conviviality and joy. Sip one of the many varieties of tea that is
offered or a glass of wine or sangria. Try her soups, salads or one of
the specials she offers everyday. When you ask Terry why does she cook
too, she answers “I am Italian”.
