HOMES OF THE TREASURE COAST
of the Americas in Dania Beach to collect fabrics and
other au courant design elements, followed by a consult
with the Halls.
“We have a huge showroom with tons of fabrics and
accessories, furnishings, lighting, hundreds for them to
look at and just say yah or nay,” Hyatt Councill says.
Their initial meeting was to get an overall vision and
determine what the Halls wanted to accomplish.
“Sam loves animal prints and jewel tones,” Hyatt
Councill explains. “She wanted a lighter and airier feel,
but she also wanted depth to it, layers, and that’s what
we needed to achieve with textures.”
After that consultation, Sam Hall and the design
team chose a few fabrics.
“And that’s how we started to build,” Hyatt
Councill says.

The Halls built, from the ground up, a 7,000-square-foot home after tearing down
the previous house on the cul-de-sac at Evergreen Club.
The upstairs guest rooms received new paint, bed covers, carpets and accessories
to contemporize the look.
In an additional guest room, the designers used streamlined furnishings and draperies,
replacing the previous swag and jabot style.
