Tradition is on the move

The 34987 zip code is seeing a lot of action these days

It’s the hottest zip code in the nation. Where? West of the interstate: Tradition in Port St. Lucie.

MovingPlace, which tracks where moves occur monthly across the nation, found that more people in the 34987 Tradition zip code are on the move than anywhere else in the country. It amounts to about 16 moves per 1,000 residents.

They are not necessarily moving in and out of that zip code. Many moves are within Tradition, often from an older home to a newer one. “I’ve never seen new construction grow as fast as it is in the Tradition area,” said Joe Rosen of eXp Realty in Tradition. After looking at the reasons for frequent moves in the zip code, he concluded that “the influx has to be coming from the new construction here. People want to move into new homes.”
