For more than three decades, Paul L. Abad has built a career in accounting, finance and business administration, but his greatest satisfaction comes from helping others succeed. A disabled U.S. Navy veteran who put himself through college while serving his country for 12 years, Paul combines 36 years of business experience with a passion for financial education, providing entrepreneurs and small-business owners with the knowledge they need to make informed decisions. Paul founded Education Investment Resources five years ago with a simple mission — to give back to the community by offering free financial education to startups and small businesses. A mentor with SCORE for the past three years, he works with aspiring entrepreneurs to help them navigate the financial side of business ownership and avoid common pitfalls.

“Many business owners have great ideas but don’t always know where to find the resources or financial tools they need to grow,” Paul said. “My goal is to help them build a solid foundation.” His areas of expertise include accounting, finance, business administration and business mentoring. Clients also turn to him for guidance on asset protection, charging order protection, establishing business lines of credit, securing SBA loans and identifying financing options that provide operating capital and financial reserves.

Beyond Education Investment Resources, Paul is president and founder of EIR Financial Services LLC, a mortgage brokerage, and NuestraComunidadLatina.org, a nonprofit organization that assists Hispanic entrepreneurs, investors and self-employed professionals. He also partners with veterans, Realtors, title companies and insurance professionals through educational events and sponsorship programs that connect business owners with valuable resources.
