More than 60 works of art composed by Navy SEAL Joshua Harris are now
on display at the museum.

talented he was only after
his death.” The exhibit
opened to the public this
Sept. 11 to commemorate
the 10th anniversary of the
terrorist attacks in New
York and Washington DC
and will run until Nov. 14.

Harris obtained a bachelor’s
degree in studio
art from North Carolina’s
highly respected Davidson
College. When he joined
the Navy in 2000, he was
one semester from completing his master’s degree in architecture.

He was a member of SEAL Team 10 and then was selected to
join the Naval Special Warfare Development Group. Between
2002 and 2008 he was on five combat tours, three in Iraq and
two in Afghanistan. He completed more than 100 combat
