“I’ve belonged to other clubs since moving to the Treasure Coast in 1986,
but I’ve been playing at the Edward G. Enns Indian Hills Golf Course since
it reopened in 2003. I like the layout and the greens fees are very reasonable.
The staff is tremendous — everyone from the cart man to the people in the pro
shop. And you can’t beat the friends you make here.

Print on both sides of the paper whenever possible and
shut down all your electronics before you leave for the day.
Use a whiteboard or digital notes on your computer instead
of a fresh sheet of paper for the notes, ideas, or deadlines
you need to jot down.
Make a change and spread the green wisdom to co-workers
so they can reduce waste, too.
COmPOST YARD DEbRIS
If you have a yard or garden, composting is a great way to
reduce waste and save money.
Throw the waste into a compost bin where it will be transformed
into fertilizer. Items like coffee grounds and filters,
fruit and vegetable scraps, egg shells, leaves, and shredded
newspapers can be added to the bin, which should be
stirred or mixed on a regular basis to promote the breakdown
of scraps.
What results is a nutrient-dense soil that negates the need
for harmful chemical fertilizer or expensive soil and nurtures
hearty, healthy plants while simultaneously keeping excess
waste in plastic garbage bags out of landfills.
Detailed instructions on how to start your own compost
pile can be found online at www.composting101.com.
