Miller’s Central Air beating the Florida heat for 30 years

What started as a single truck operation working out of Rick and Jodi Miller’s home turned into 30 years of providing top-notch service as Miller’s Central Air. 

Miller began his business in 1995 by driving through the streets of Lake Placid, where he built connections with local businesses. He later expanded into Port St. Lucie and the Treasure Coast. Today, Miller’s Central Air is recognized as one of Florida’s most trusted names in HVAC service.

The company has since grown to employ 95 workers and opened additional locations in Okeechobee and back in Lake Placid. Miller’s Central Air provides residential and commercial air conditioning and heating repair, replacement, and maintenance services throughout much of the Treasure Coast and into Florida’s Heartland.

With a strong foundation rooted in Miller’s family values and the Port St. Lucie community, Miller’s Central Air offers a team committed to providing exceptional support to their customers beyond the service itself.

Miller’s Central Air thrives off an enthusiastic team culture driven from being a family-owned business. Rick remains the active owner and president of the company, while Jodi serves as vice president. Their son, Ricky Miller, is the director of sales and marketing, and their daughter, Taylor Lott, is the office manager, overseeing the call center team and daily operations.

Their expertise covers a comprehensive range of HVAC services including residential and commercial air conditioning and heating repair, installation, and maintenance; ductless AC and heat pump systems; indoor air quality solutions; geothermal systems; home insulation; dryer vent cleaning; home automation; and thermostat controls, among others. 

Miller’s Central Air’s reputation as a high quality and satisfactory service has allowed the business to go beyond Port St. Lucie serves customers in southeast Florida, including Lake Placid, Jensen Beach, Stuart, Okeechobee and Vero Beach.

Miller’s Central Air’s recent focus turns to creating a home efficiency program where certified install technicians use blower door testing along with other methods to gather efficiency data to inform a home-specific and suitable system.

Apart from expanding as a business, Miller’s Central Air keeps their community roots in Port St. Lucie at the heart of their work through charitable acts, like sponsoring local projects or events. Just as service areas have grown, Miller’s Central Air looks to grow their community impact and help the Treasure Coast thrive in a broader capacity. 

“It mainly comes from Rick. He has a heart for serving and just wants to give back to the community that gives so much to him,” Lott said. 

His spirit translates to and feeds the team who trains all year long to ensure overwhelmingly positive experiences for customers from their initial contact with Miller’s Central Air through keeping them in a consistently comfortable home no matter the season. 

“We thank the Port St. Lucie community for choosing us as number one. We put a lot of hard work into that, but we app-reciate it being noticed and recognized by our customers as well,”  Lott said.
