Dr. Matt Ajemian, an
Assistant Research Professor at FAU Harbor Branch Oceanographic Institute, specializes
in the ecology and conservation of fisheries and vulnerable species. His
research spans marine and estuarine organisms, from shellfish to sharks, and
encompasses various ecosystems. Dr. Ajemian combines theory and practical
applications to address research questions. He earned his Ph.D. in Marine
Science from the University of South Alabama in 2011 and has expertise in
ichthyology, ecology, and fisheries science. Before joining Harbor Branch, he
worked at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi.
