VERO BEACH, FL (March 4, 2025) – Prepare for an
evening of aviation history as The Emerson Center presents Mat Garretson, Print
Historian for the Blue Angels and esteemed aviation
historian. Garretson will explore the post-war atmosphere that led to the
formation of the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels, offering an exclusive look at the
early years of this world-renowned flight demonstration
team.
In his engaging lecture, Garretson will delve into the
pivotal moments and key figures behind the Blue Angels’ creation. Attendees
will gain insight into the challenges and triumphs of the team’s formative
years, enriched with entertaining stories and
previously unseen photos. This presentation will highlight how the pioneering
spirit of the Blue Angels’ early years continues to inspire today’s teams.
