As we look back over the past seven years, SEAL Team Vero Beach has made An Extraordinary Evening a vital part of furthering the mission of The National Navy UDT-SEAL Museum. Indebted we are to you, our sponsors and donors, without whom we would not have raised the over 1 million dollars we have to support the Trident House Charities Program

Though we did not hold our event in 2024, I am proud to say and again thankful to SEAL Team Vero Beach, as we successfully built and dedicated the NCDU/Scouts & Raiders Monument Park on Omaha Beach in Normandy, France. In less than 18 months, with your support, we raised over 2 million dollars, designed, built, and installed the only monument park in Normandy. This monument tells the history and preserves the legacy and sacrifice made by the young men who trained on the very beaches of the Museum in Fort Pierce. Being the first of many to storm Omaha Beach on June 6, 1944, despite a 52% casualty rate, their sacrifice led the way to the eventual toppling of Hitler’s Atlantic Wall. The Monument stands to educate the world and generations to come, serving as a reminder of the tremendous cost of freedom. “Thank you” will never be enough for the support that SEAL Team Vero Beach gave to this effort.

This year promises to be truly An Extraordinary Evening. We will have many SEALs with us, and we are honored to have Captain Rich Phillips as our keynote speaker. He is a most humble, salt of earth man and tells a story that you will never forget. Navy SEAL sniper Chris Brown will also be in attendance to provide further insight into the complex and intense mission of the Maersk Alabama. The mission our US Navy SEALs faced–and the fate of Captain Phillips–hung in the balance. However, the focus, courage, never-quit and will-not-fail principles displayed by both Captain Phillips and the US Navy SEALs are what saved his life. Each of these are principles that we can use in our everyday lives.

Once again, Helen and I, along with Don and Charlene McClure, remain deeply thankful for your past and continued support. Trident House Charities continues to flourish with your support as we continue to grow in our mission. The Museum continues to transform into a world-class facility; we remain dedicated to preserving the heritage and legacy of the Navy Frogman, honor the fallen on the Memorial Wall, and support the families of Naval Special Warfare through the Museum’s Trident House Charities. We are further tasked with educating future generations to understand what patriotism stands for and the sacrifices made for our freedom. Finally, we offer a call to action for those who contemplate a life of serving to something greater than themselves.

Each of the men you will meet as SEALs–and all veterans, alike–made that choice and for this we all are eternally grateful.
