One of the first swing measuring devices uses the string and golf ball to
determine distance and direction of a golfer’s swing. An area, right, is
devoted to the Ryder Cup competition as the European Team takes on the

Masters, British Open and U.S. Open.
With an open great room, displays can be moved to allow
seating for the museum’s speaker series. Speakers since
2011 have included 1958 PGA champion Dow Finsterwald,
LPGA tour winner Michele McGann and Errie Ball, the last
man standing from the first Masters tournament in 1934. Also
on the property is the PGA Education Center, which hosted
almost 200 people to hear golf course designer Pete Dye.
