TREASURE COAST GIFT GUIDE
POTTERY PIECES
Select your favorite piece from Gail
Snively’s award-winning porcelain pottery,
94
displayed at Rare Earth Pottery
and Arts Gallery, 41 S.W. Flagler Ave.,
in downtown Stuart. From teapots to
bowls, each piece is hand-crafted and
glazed 6-8 times to last, making it
beautiful and yet totally functional.
Snively, a part-time Hobe Sound resident,
was awarded First Place in
Ceramics at Martin County’s 2007 Art
Fest. Her pieces range in price from $20
-$350. Potter David Horowitz, owner of
Rare Earth Pottery, displays and sells
the work of dozens of Treasure Coast
artists and offers many of them a place
to fire their work. The gallery, one of
downtown Stuart’s first anchors, is on
Flagler Avenue, near the Lyric Theatre.
