2 more coronavirus deaths reported in SLC

The deaths from coronavirus of two people on the Treasure Coast were reported over the weekend while growth in case numbers continued to decline from their peaks.

St. Lucie County reported both deaths: a 73-year-old man whose case was first reported April 22 and a 76-year-old man whose case was first reported April 29. The Treasure Coast has had 39 deaths from coronavirus: 25 in St. Lucie County, eight in Indian River County and six in Martin County.

The number of coronavirus cases on the Treasure Coast increased by 37 cases since Friday’s report. St. Lucie, which is twice the size of Martin or Indian River, has 260 cases, Martin has 215 cases and Indian River has 99 cases.

Florida has 36,897 cases and 1,399 deaths.
